Mi voz en español.

A guided group program for adults who already speak some Spanish and want to bring more of themselves into the conversation. Twelve weeks, one group, from a fixed start date to a fixed end.

You practise staying present, taking part, and finding a way forward when the words run out, one conversation at a time.

You have something to say, and you want to stay with it.

The group works on these three moments directly, because they are where most conversations are lost.

You lose the threadYou understand most of a conversation, then the pace changes and you are unsure how to come back in.
Your words take timeYou search for a word or a verb form, and the idea you wanted to share goes with it.
You want to say moreYou can answer familiar questions, and you would rather tell the fuller story or ask something of your own.

One group moves through twelve weeks together, from a fixed start date to a fixed end. A cohort opens only when it reaches its minimum enrollment, and nobody joins once it has started.

A story becomes the starting point for yours.

Every session runs the same four beats, and the workbook carries them between meetings.

The six steps behind it
Before we meetA short story and comprehension questions introduce the situation. You connect it to your own life and gather a few words or ideas you may want to use.
As we learnWe work on the language that carries the message: past events, descriptions, questions, pronunciation, or a useful way to ask for clarification.
In conversationYou share from your notes, listen to the others and respond to their questions. The conversation leaves room for something unexpected.
After a first attemptSusabi gives focused feedback. You try again with one adjustment, notice what helped, and choose a way to keep using it.

A workbook you keep, and a group that answers you.

The workbook holds the stories, the comprehension work, the grammar in its context and the personal prompts together. It gives you the expressions for asking, clarifying and continuing, and you can return to it long after the twelve weeks end.

The other learners bring experiences and questions you would not have written yourself. You listen to their stories, show interest, and contribute to a conversation that belongs to the whole group. An everyday experience works as well as an imagined one.

You may notice that you organise a story more clearly, ask a question without waiting for a prompt, use a verb form more accurately, or return to an idea after losing a word. Those are the signs Susabi watches for.

How the cohort runs.

One group moves through twelve weeks together, from the day you book to the day it ends.

01

The intro call

The call runs fifteen minutes and costs nothing. Susabi places your level and names the format that fits.

02

The cohort fills

A group opens once it reaches its minimum. Short of that, the start slips a week or two.

03

Twelve weeks together

The start and end dates are fixed. The group moves as one, so nobody joins mid-course.

04

The next level

Beginner and advanced cohorts open once the first intermediate group finishes.

Is this the right space for you?

Ask Susabi directly
How much Spanish do I need?

The program runs at intermediate and upper-intermediate level. Susabi talks through what you understand and express today to see whether the group fits. If you are beginning, one-on-one lessons build your first resources, and beginner and advanced cohorts open once the first group finishes.

Will we work on grammar?

Yes. Explanations and guided practice develop the structures your message needs, and then those structures go into a conversation. Grammar, listening and pronunciation are part of the experience rather than a separate track.

If you get nervous, or you need more time

You can pause and ask for help. The group practises ways to gain time and continue, and Susabi adjusts the support to the activity. The short invitations to notice your breathing are optional.

What are the dates, the price and the joining options?

Susabi sets the price and the next start date, and gives you both on the call. A cohort opens once it reaches its minimum enrollment, and short of that the start slips a week or two.

Can I join after the cohort starts?

No. The group moves together from a fixed start date.

I already bought a class pack. Can I move to the cohort?

Yes, if you move before the cohort starts. You pay the difference between what you bought and the program price.

Where is Susabi, and what time zone do classes run in?

Puerto Escondido, Oaxaca. Scheduling works around your time zone.

Ask about the next edition.

Susabi sets the price and the start date, and tells you on the call whether the group fits your Spanish. If you are beginning, one-on-one lessons build your first resources.
